Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Growing up, she listened to classical music, as well old Boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is enthusiastic about the operas and tangos. Also, she loves performing in dramatic shows. The mother of her child taught her to sing, and she began intensifying her vocal instruction under Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera tenor. Her musical education continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she performed in several chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist with the traditional Latin American music at private concerts. The passion and love she has for the arts, music, and performing has her participating in a myriad of local activities as a teacher and performer. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to instill enthusiasm, specifically in the younger generations, for keeping this music in the present.
